In today’s episode, I interview my good friend, Sergei Baranoff. After I first worked with Sergei, almost 10 years ago, our paths didn’t cross for a few months, and by the next time we spoke, he had formed relationships with several of the top As Seen On TV companies. In an insular business like this, it can be hard to break in, but Sergei was successful because of his integrity and his core principle, “never be annoying.” Plus he’s a lot of fun. Listen to this full interview to hear more detailed advice of how to get a license deal for your product from an inventor that has secured dozens of deals over the past several years.
Sergei also teaches the process he uses to come up with new inventions. This is invaluable advice for those of us that want to own our own business and launch a new product to market but don’t feel like we have any marketable ideas.
Check out the full 30-minute interview to learn these principles plus the following:
•How to use your failures to help you succeed with your next invention.
•How to outsource tasks you don’t like or know how to do, for free.
•How to secure a license deal if you don’t want to launch on your own.
•How to test your ideas early in the process to save thousands of dollars by avoiding going in the wrong direction.
